Research ::
Cynthia is currently an English doctoral candidate at Old Dominion University; she is in the process of writing several papers with high hopes for publication. Her research interest lies within the broad field of new media studies, specifically as it relates to the following:
- digital literacy
- technical and professional communication
- usability design
- distance education
She has a unique perspective or outlook on these topics due to her technical background and expertise, along with a blended english and communication pedagogical approach to teaching and learning. She is credentialed to teach in both english and communication departments, which is necessary due to her interdisciplinary background and the nature of her research interests.
